Flat Three

. Bridal Suite, original 16th century part of the Inn. New Double bed in the bedroom, pine bedside table, antique 'Lloyd Loom' wicker bedside chair and clothes hamper, dressing table with mirror above and drawers below. Double wardrobe with ironing board and mini-safe. Pine headboard with drapes around the head of the bed. Down two steps to a bathroom with a shower, and a lounge with a new double bed settee, armchair, rectangular pine dining table, with four chairs. Nicam digital stereo television with fast-text teletext. Fitted kitchen with cooker, refridgerator and microwave. This room is full of character, has 18" thick walls, slate window sills and a curious slope on the bedroom floor. The room is over the bar, and there may be a certain amount of noise until midnight, but it isn't normally a problem.

Flat 3 received a new roof in June 2003 to replace rotten roofing timbers that were causing the roof to sag severely. The main trusses were salvaged and the new roof was covered with the old local Delabole slates retaining the original character. As the new roof is felted, and because we added improved insulation, the flat will be cosier in winter. The internal ceiling was also replaced, artexed, and the entire flat redecorated. A new lounge suite and double bed completed this partial refurbishment.
